This review focuses on the role of ocular blood flow in normal tension glaucoma (NTG). NTG is a progressive optic neuropathy with intraocular pressure measured within the normal range. Impairment of the ocular blood flow (OBF) is hypothesized to be involved in the onset and progression of this disease. The review summarizes the current understanding of risk factors for NTG and briefly describes the technologies for clinical measurements of OBF.
